Michael Jordan Type 1 Photo Used For Trading Card 1989 Ed Border Original 8x10

This 8x10 type 1 Michael Jordan photo was taken by renowned photographer Ed Broder. Many 1980s and 90s baseball card kids remember the Broder trading cards. The first time this image of Jordan shooting a jumper over Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons appeared was on the type 1 8x10 we are offering here.

Next the image was printed in Broder trading cards which I included a sample image above. In late 1989, Ed struck a deal with Hoops to use the image in an officially licensed Hoops basketball photo series with a HOOPS logo in the lower left photo. I also I included a sample image of that product but, this listing is for the ORIGINAL 1989 Ed Broder produced 8x10, WITHOUT THE hoops logo only, the other images are just for reference. This item is consigned by an old time collector who knew Ed Broder personally and handled 1,000s of his cards and original photos. The population for PSA type 1 color images from the 1980s is 2% of the overall population for Michael Jordan type 1 photos with the majority being post 1994.

The very few offered from the 1989s are usually found in black and white.
